Help My Samsung Galaxy S3 won't work

amirsad

Lurker
Hi whenever I turn it on it is stuck on a screen which is a white background with grey horizontal lines. Can someone help? Is it a software issue or a hardware issue? Here is a photo of it : View image: photo
Pleas get back to me thanks.

Can you get into download mode or recovery?

Download mode is entered by first ensuring the phone is off...then press and hold volume down and home button, while holding these two buttons in, press and hold power button.

Recovery is the same method but press volume up instead of volume down.

Welcome to AF amirsad!
Have you tried a battery pull?
The next thing we can try is going into the stock recovery and clearing the cache, then rebooting:
Power phone down completely.
Hold down the home key/volume up key and while holding those, press and hold the power button.
When the screen comes on, let go of all 3 buttons...you should be in the stock recovery screen. On that screen, there should be a "clear cache" option...choose that and then reboot. Hopefully you will be able to see the recovery screen....if you see the screen that is pictured in your attachment, then I would say it is hardware related.

Edit: lol...ninj'd by andybog:)
