My screen has a tiny nick on it and I'm very bummed out about it.

I baby this phone, but am in between screen protectors. I don't know how it happened, but there is a tiny nick in the screen toward the bottom. It looks like a large-ish piece of dust that will never come off.

Would any of you out there pay the $100 to get a new phone under the insurance, or would you consider this just "knocking the new off of it?"

Nobody in the world would notice but me. But it's like a dead pixel. It's all you see.

I figured my OCD brethren on this forum might weigh in on what to do.

Most likely you place the phone in your pocket with a set of keys by accident. I understand that you see nothing else when you look at the screen, but I would not pay $100 just for that.

Yes, I think I did that once by accident. Beware, people!

Although one guy on here said he took a key to the phone screen he was going to return and nothing happened. So who knows.

Same thing happened to me. Small scratch. I put a screen protector on it, and now you can't even see it.

Try putting a screen protector on the screen and you may never notice it.

My Zagg might be at my house as early as today. I'll def give it a shot. This happened after I took Invisible Shield off of it because it ruined my display.

Just gotta be more careful mandingo. My Evo always rides solo in a pocket without keys or anything that would damage it. My phone will look brand new in 2 years

Mine rides solo as well but there are maybe two tiiiiiny little dots that look like maybe scratches in a coating. Not sure, maybe it's something I can scrape off and not a real nick. Either way, I'm not too worried. It happens and I knew what I was getting into with no protector.

I wouldn't return it over this at all. 6 months to a year from now you will have more scratches and possibly dust. Just enjoy your family. It's just a phone....
