Help My screen (SG4 mini) keeps randomly dimming.

My screen keeps dimming like as if its going to lock but I have my screen timeout for 10 minutes. When I tap the screen it goes back to normal. Its frustrating because I'm trying to copy something down from my phone and it keeps dimming then locking. I have a Samsung galaxy s4 mini

While you are waiting for more replys you could try this app just to see if it does have something to do with the screen lock on the phone. I use it myself when I am going to do a lot of texting so I don't have to keep punching in the unlock code. I'd just turn it to "unlock" and see if the screen keeps dimming or not.
