Help My Tab keeps freezing after the update

I got the KitKat update yesterday and since then, the tablet has been freezing and restarting when I try to use ANY app. I even tried to use it as my alarm, and it froze and restarted. I know it has to do with the update. Will I have to root it? I have no problem rooting.

Once you do a major update such as upgrade to os . you will need to perform a factory data reset . this would be a wise move cause it wipes off all the old data to make room for new data . old data and new data Dont mix result is what your having . try the reset post back if you have any other problems with your tablet ....:car:

I factory reset and it kept doing the same thing, so I rooted it and it was fixed. Thank you.

How do you root the tablet? My tablet also updated and have been having problems with my apps.

Yes how because I did factory reset, didn't work and then Power, Volume up and menu key reset and still hasn't worked
