Help my tablet storage is full

My tablet samsung tab S4 storage is full. I have no files on it, no media. Just programs, deleted some apps just to get space, because I can't even read email - it says not enough storage to sync.
I got SD card, but what's the point if I can't transfer anything to it. As I said, I have no files to transfer to SD card, I transferred a few apps but the biggest ones can't be moved. Also I see miscellaneous files of about 4 GB, but I see only 1 GB in details, where is the other 3 GB?

I am trying to download storage truth (not even 1 mb app), but can't due to insufficient storage. I have 400 MB free

My 8Gb Tab 3 7" is similar; what I've done is use a backup app (saves to the SD card) and then delete as necessary. once things got sorted out, I restored needed apps, and try really hard to keep an eye on how much internal storage space I have left.

in a pinch, you can manually copy apps from the sd0/.android/data folder, but that won't save settings like Titanium Backup would do.

I saw that excel apps had over 3 gb of data in them (back ups maybe), I deleted it all and everything works fine
