My text messages won't send??

Ok I have no idea what's going on. I did an update on my MyTouch 4G, which took 10 minutes to update and then required a restart. After that I had noticed that I was unable to send text messages to people. I can send texts to SOME people, but not everyone. I can receive texts from everyone though.
Someone please help me out before I go crazy!

Try these
first pull the battery, restart phone.
If that didnt work check the apn settings
if the apn settings are ok...master reset
If all else fails, call customer care and use that warranty

Same thing happened to me. I restarted after the update, and now I can't text certain people. I've tried restarting, didn't work. I don't want to do a master reset and lose all my data, though!
