Hi. In my former life I was a Windows Mobile victim...I've had the Driod X a week and haven't rebooted yet - this is good My Omnia did have "My Text" however - canned phrases like "I'm running late.." and " Wherethehell R U ?" - Anything similar on the X? TIA.

Welcome to the Android Forums!

I'm also an escapee of the wonderful world of Omnia and I've not yet seen canned text messages on the stock SMS client on the DX. Take a look at 3rd party SMS apps like Handscent and Chomp SMS. In ChompSMS you have templates which may satisfy your requirement.
