Hi, looking at the current software update page on the Verizon site it says for the S5 it is lollipop 5.0 and the SW version last 4 digits are BNLC but when I look in my phone (About Phone) info it has a different number.

My phone shows Android Version of 5.0.

Baseband number of G900VVRU1B0A8 and a Build number of: LRX21T.G900VVRU1B0A8

Does anyone know why this is.. Thanks

B0A8 is the last version I knew about.

What is Kies 3.0 showing for you?

The last 3 characters are year, month, and revision.

N = 2014
L = December
C = revision 12

O = 2015
A = January
8 = revision 8

Clearly, the Verizon website is once again out of date.

Alternative explanation...

Verizon, perhaps to get a jump on other carriers, based their initial build on a much earlier, pre release of Lollipop from, say, October or November of 2014, with the original intention, (allowing for their build time and testing), of releasing it in December 2014, hence, NLC. For whatever reason, possibly the disastrous release on the Poland test firmware that had a similar changelist number, (NL7 changelist for Poland was #3548824), as Verizon's. This test firmware was withdrawn by Samsung within a week, see posts #1 & #2, here.. So, perhaps Verizon held off and made some modifications and eventually released on their build OA8, 27 JAN: 2015.

This much earlier firmware might account for the very low changelist number that Verizon's actual firmware is based on... #3846539

All Samsung's unbranded and lightly branded firmwares on Lollipop have been based on the much higher changelist... #77433514

Verizon does test for quite a while. And flip flops with their testers. It's how we once got so many people flaming Verizon testers trying to leak information - once upon a time, we had several.

Either way, we agree that the website is wrong, yeah?

Agreed EarlyMon. I think that the website for Verizon's Lollipop release on : LRX21T.G900VVRU1BNLC was their original intention but that the actuality is that it is OA8 as per post #46, here.
