My vibrant keeps pressing buttons by itself

when i try to type something, my phone keeps continuiously pressing the space bar and its not stopping. i already rebooted my phone and restarted it multiple times

try taking the battery out for awhile if it keeps on its time to get a new vibrant

i think its rather a software problem. maybe reinstalling would do the thing
