Help My whistle notification stopped working

I really like the Whistle notification sound but today it stopped working and it now sounds like 2 bells ringing. WTH. Anyone else have this problem and if so is there a fix.
 
Some basic checks below from another noobie

a) Settings --->sound-->ringtone and notifications--->default notifications ?
b)Home notifications list bar has "notifications " set to on
