Help My wife's phone used to send me photos

Instead of photos, my wife's phone now sends me Google Drive links. Knowing my wife's sophistication about these things, I'm sure she didn't set something intentionally; I can't imagine what she might have set inadvertently. But when she takes photos on the phone and sends them to me, I don't get the photos directly; I get a Google Drive link. She has a moto e5 play.

check your defaults for the app being used to send the photos. it should be phone's setting>apps>your photo app>set as defaults>clear defaults

I shall check. Thank you.

OK, just got a photo from my wife & not a link. Apparently, this worked:

After touching the "share" icon, you have to select the Messages app. Then you select the recipient and touch "MMS". She said she was set to SMS. Again, nothing for which she'd look. I'm guessing some app update reset it.

ahhhhh that would have been my follow up question.......thanx for posting your solution.

Google photos makes sending drive links the default. So if she isn't going to work out the options and just selects "share" and then the person that's what happens. Could be some other app does the same.

(I always select the method then recipient because I usually want to use a different method).

Interesting. As long as I have had an Android phone, that has never been my default behavior.
