Try rebooting your phone.
Installation went very well. its showed up on my device, can't open . always force close.

Try installing this version of the older Market so you have a working Market app .

I got the new Market last night and have since reflashed to earlier backups twice . My Market is not changing over to Google Play any longer . It seems they have stopped pushing the update for the moment . I hope this works for ya .
