Need to stay within T-mobile but I'm debating between the upcoming MT3G slide or the N1. is 600mhz slow at all? and is there any plus sides to 600mhz to 1ghz? (battery life maybe?)

MT3G Slide:
+Genius Button
+Qwerty
+price
+Custom Apps (MyModes, Faves Gallery)
+Dragon voice recognition (not sure if N1 is same or not)
-slower processor
-3.4" screen
-less RAM

N1:
+Snapdragon
+3.7" screen
+Amoled
+Noise cancellation
+live wallpapers
-No Qwerty
-Higher Price
-does not come all blacked out

Same:
=Custom UI
=Froyo 2.2 update
=5mp Camera
=same GPU
=Android of course
=GPS
=3.5mm
=other obvious stuff

HELP!

Totally in the same boat, I want the mytouch but the slower processor worries me, if it will be cheaper in the long run to get a N1 I may go that route.

Tbh, I dont think the Mytouch 3G Slide is in the same league as the N1. That said, it surely will be a great phone. But if you are going in buying it with N1 expectations, I think you will be disappointed.

If you are unsure about virtual keyboards and prefer a phsyical keyboard, go with Mytouch slide. BUT if you honestly dont care about keyboards, youd be shooting yourself in the foot not to go for the Nexus One imo!

To answer the last question though; Is 600 Mhz fast enough? Well that all depends. We know 600Mhz is technically capable. We have seen this. But it doesnt just depend on the Mhz. Software, brand, etc are all factors as well. Thats why not all 600Mhz android devices preform equally.
