N00b friendly Overclocking for the Huawei Fusion 2

Originally made for myself, but thought someone might benefit from it.

**This only works on CM7.2 :( **

Lets get started:

1. Download the file HERE

2. Unzip the "n00b Friendly Overclocking HF2.zip"

3. Put your phone into Fastboot.
-Power down your phone, then hold the Power & Volume Down buttons for approximately 10 seconds.

4. Plug your phone into your computer.

5. Run the appropriate file for your needs.

*They are named for the result they produce:

-- RUN ME to install OC Kernel.bat
-- RUN ME to restore CM 7.2 Kernel.bat
-- RUN ME to restore Stock Kernel.bat
**If you would like to see what these files are doing, you can Right Click, and select Edit.**

(This does not work on Stock ROM, and trying to install it will put your phone into a boot loop)

*If you did try to install the Overclock Kernel or the CM 7.2 Kernel on a Stock ROM:
-- Pull the battery out, wait 5 seconds, put the battery back in, and boot into Fastboot. Then run "RUN ME to restore Stock Kernel.bat"

Linux/Mac users:

-- To install Overclock Kernel:
fastboot flash boot oc_kernel_install.img

-- To restore CM7.2 Kernel:
fastboot flash boot CM_7.2_kernel_restore.img

-- To restore Stock Kernel:
fastboot flash boot Stock_kernel_restore.img

I have safely Overclocked this phone to 1113. Anything higher will make the phone unstable.

**TIP**
-- If you do decide to try to set the CPU higher than 1113, a widget on the home screen may make your life easier. If you boot loop, it loads all the way to the home screen, and if you can open SetCPU before Android loads it, you can change the CPU settings before it reboots again.

All thanks and credit goes to Cameron581.
All I did was put it in a pretty package and edited some files to make it click-and-run; all for my fellow n00bs and easy button aficionados.

Maybe a bit of Thanks for me? :D

SetCPU seems to only let me put it to it's current max I don't see anyway to set it above 800 Mhz. Is there something I am missing to do?

I think I somehow completely missed the whole point on how this works. After rereading the thread I think the custom kernal has to be installed before SetCPU will show me anything other than a max of 800 Mhz. I somehow got the idea from other threads I could just do it through SetCPU

I was trying to find a way to overclock the phone without going through putting CM 7.2 on the phone. There's no "easy" way to do that?

I've not seen anyone overclock the stock rom, if you find a way to do that, it would be cool if you post that here.

Unfortunately, as the post says, **This only works on CM7.2. You have to have a custom kernel, and a custom ROM, for setCPU to control overclocking.

It't not hard to install CM7.2, the guides on here are well written, and we haven't had any bricks flashing what is posted here, or Fusion2.org.
