N00b in need of help for htc desire

Hi I'm a relative noob to hacking my cell phones. I had success flashing ics to my samsung fascinate and I need some help doing the same with my htc desire. It's not that I haven't found guides on how to its just that I don't see my phone's build number baseband etc so I can flash it back to stock if I need to send it in. I've been apprehensive about rooting until I have what I need to return my phone to normal...any help on this would be much appreciated. Thanks to all for reading!!!

Thanks all. I'm glad to be aboard!!! and I will head over to that forum. As you might assume going from a samsung fascinate with ics to a desire with froyo....just...well sucks. Here's hopin to a root and rom flash!!!
