Hey all,
Just got my N1 on Monday, upgrading (or sidegrading) from a Nokia n97 mini. I have a flat rate connection with my mobile carrier (Vodafone Spain).
My problem is the following, with the exact same connection, and performing the test from the same location and same laptop (Dell XPS 1330), when trying to use tethering on the N1, the connection is just terrible. Ping is at 400ms, DL speeds at max 200Kbit, UL speeds 50-80Kbit.
With the exact same connection, location, laptop, provider, but with my n97 mini and joikuspot, I'd get 170 - 190ms ping, DL speeds of almost 2Mbit and UL speeds of 200-300Kbit.
I've tested this thoroughly. Connecting to the AP is also way, way slower, and that is when it does connect (half of the time).
Any suggestions? I can always take my n97 with me on my trips for this purpose, but I expected a better solution here... :/ As it is right now on the N1 it is almost useless.
