N4 LG charger and USB cable

I need an extra USB cable for charging my N4 in my car because I use a Scosche dual USB charger 2.1 amp. Will any USB cable be fine like the one in the link below or should I be looking for anything specific? I don't want something to mess up my N4 battery.

Is there anywhere that sells the original LG travel charger?

For charging, any micro USB cable will work. You just need an LG one when you want to sync with your computer.

Be careful, I bought 2 cheap micro usb cables from amazon and they did not work with the N4. Not sure why, maybe they were to long (2m). They worked fine with my Galaxy S2 and the GF's Sony Xperia.

If the primary purpose of cable should be charging you'd chose a microUSB cable as short as possible and with thicker power wires. So it'd be ready for larger amounts of amperage if you want to run some power-hungry apps while charging.

Quality mircroUSB cables like these by DeLock have 24AWG for the power wires instead of 28AWG like the data wire.
