I've monkeyed around with a few webcam apps with older phones and never found one I liked. A dedicated camera will work so much better.
My nexus 6 has been officially retired, truly an amazing device, I am going to miss it
So... the love affair that began on November 29th of 2014 has sadly come to an end. 3 years, 5 months and 25 days ago I bought my Nexus 6 at a local ATT store as I couldn't find it anywhere else. @lunatic59 helped me with learning the inner workings of side loading, flashing and the basics of rooting on this very board. (Thanks Luna) It was a soldier, a warrior, it never let me down, no not once. I prayed for a decent replacement and the Pixel 2XL came along and took my fancy. I do Love my Pixel, but nothing could ever replace the N6 or the Moto X (2013) before it. Yesterday, a good, good friend broke his phone and was in a bad spot, I couldn't say no so I said goodbye to my Nexus and sent it on to a new life and new home. I cried a little, I gotta be honest. So today starts a new existence for me, one without my Nexus.
To anyone reading, thanks for listening to me whine. I'll miss you old friend, Nexus. Fly on gossamer wings sweet prince. Bring joy to another's life.
So, as an update, my new to me N6 that I bought from eBay is working just fine and it seems as though my 'old' one by wiping system has now forgone some of the previous issues it had last July going forward. I may try some Oreo on it. The 'new' one does exhibit better battery life, as a new phone should.Running Oreo AOSiP 8.1 on my N6. And Pie is coming to N6. So unless a company I trust comes with as large screen under $250 I'm sticking with my new to me mint used N6.
