Help n64 emulator lag, please help

Lurker
so i have my brand new galaxy s3, which i returned my htc one x for (both are the dual core american lte versions). and I am trying to make the n64 emulator work. now on the htc one x, playing ocarina of time went smoothly except for from a glitch that kept shutting down my emulator. now with my s3, the same emulators and rom are extremely laggy. does anyone have any suggestions? i would really love any help you might offer

N64oid for me is faster on the GS3 than my TF300 and Razr. Even in power save mode games are smooth, which surprised me. I have fog turned on, so if there was a cpu or gpu issue, it would show up- especially in power save mode.

A good game to test with is Destruction Derby since that game will choke a slower CPU.

I have tried using Mupen64, n6 4 droid v2 and n64 emulator (the free p.o.s. thats in play store right now. I had n64oid on my htc one x, perhaps that is the problem but I can not find it in the play store anymore... so we are sure that there is not some sort of gpu deficiency in the gs3, you guys think that it should be running fine? I am wondering if I need to root and overclock my gs3 to make it work proper but I feel like I shouldn't have to, and besides I have seen so many reports of people setting there phones on fire, lol

Should be running fine- especially stock speed. Updated N64oid is over at Slideme for purchase.

They took off the Google play.
I have mine oc to 1890 and no problems

as far as overclocking goes, i have not yet even rooted my phone as I own a mac and can not seem to find a guide for the american root with a mac. but thanks for the suggestion ya n64oid is so much better, it is running pretty well now. bit of lag for ocarina and I even have majora's mask working now which I never did on the one x, although it is laggier than I would like but still pretty playable

I'm having the same issue too except I'm actually using N64OID. It's so laggy that it's unplayable. I've seen video of Ocarina on the HTC one x running smoothly and I'm extremely jealous. I feel as if maybe I chose the wrong phone. Even SNESOID runs with Lag... Could it be the roms I downloaded? Even the sound lags lol

Try mupen64

Using a Galaxy sIII here and i am receiving a fair amount of lag and i have to turn off the music bc it is so choppy. Using N64oid and my phone is not rooted. Any ideas of what is causing this lag and/or how to fix it?
