Help N7 no longer charging properly

My Nexus 7 is now, in the last week or so, either charging extremely slowly or not at all, sometimes even continues to lose power whilst on charge. I wiped the cache partition, and have now done a factory reset, but still have the same issue.

Is there anything else I could try? It hasn't had the Lollipop update yet, is there any chance that would help?

I've had both a defective USB charger and a defective USB cable. Try replacing them.

I bought a wireless charger, this works, so there must be something wrong with the micro usb socket
