Naked?

Who's going naked with their Note?

After a year or so with having a case on it all the time, I'm going naked with it. Phone doesn't feel as cumbersome anymore. I prefer it.

Will probably drop and smash the screen now.

Not naked - it feels too slippery and at risk of taking a dive. Also the power button is too exposed and can easily be pressed when the phone is in a pocket, which will wake it up and waste battery.

I use a cheap gel case, which makes it much grippier to handle while adding minimal bulk. As a bonus there is a little shock protection value, I guess, and the wrap around front lip serves to just keep the screen from touching any flat surface (including pavement, for example) if the phone is placed or falls face down.

My phone is unmarked after more than 16 months.

I've been naked for about 3 months now (despite the sub zero UK temperatures ;p). I started off with a leather flip case and decided it was a bit bulky so opted for a gel case which is nice and grippy but still a bit bulky for me. Decided to take a chance and ditch the case altogether and so far don't regret it. I was a bit worried about the rear camera when put down on tables etc, but it still seems okay. It feels great to use especially if using the stylus in the Snote app. It looks and feels great and I will keep it this way. Mind you, I'll probably come back and moan once I've dropped it!!

My note has been naked since new - about 6 months now. However, I am awaiting an (online) ordered case, which will be the first time I have had one ever. All my phones (pre and post smart) have been naked. I really just want to try out a case for something different. I have ordered one (Zenus) mentioned in another thread. I work in an outdoor environment and my phone can come into contact with various abrasives quite easily, but I simply keep it safe by 'good practice'. I don't like screen protectors either and never had a problem without - in the same environment. I definitely prefer naked, but can appreciate the virtues of some cases for some people. I'll now be able to change from one modus operandi to another.

The skin on my hands dries out very easily and I frequently drop things because of this so for me a case is essential. I also had a Windows CE PDA a few years back (remember them?!) and some keys left their mark on the screen. Fingers-crossed I haven't smashed a phone yet, although about 12 years ago I did jump into a swimming pool with a phone in my swim shorts pockets! It was a really tiny Ericsson - very easy to overlook; no chance with a Note though!

I wrapped mine in a sock.

No seriously I have a leather folding case. The cases are popular in Asia. I would have long broke it if I carried it naked. There is not much to grip.

not naked .. i think its slim enough that it could slip out of my hand and smash into pieces.. LOL .. im using a jelly case .. its thick enough that if i drop it on its edges , it wont take damage .. and its feels like i can hold it for hours .. it even has a screen cover so that i would not scratch the gorilla glass .. and i even have and installed a screen protector sticker!

I bought a number of cases for my Note but didn't like how big it made it. I realized I was buying cases with stands and I found a really cool little folding stand at the Dollar Store.

So now my Note is naked and I really prefer it that way.
