i was gonna say a specialty screw driver and then looked at answer. and i do home services for sears and work on lawn mowers and gdo's, gas grills, and fitness equipment. so know what that is and work with lots of tools. can prolly stump some people on some tools. my personal tool box is 6 feet tall and five feet wide of mechanics tools. then have a shop full of carpentry tools. the only thing really don't know is electronic's that good. other than that i have to call nobody for anything to be fixed. and nowadays, just google what don't know or not sure about, or youtube helps too. sorry got carried away here!:)

That was one of my first 2 guesses.

The one I have looks different, it is a valve stem cap with the tool on the end of it and it is screwed onto an old valve stem. My other guess was for adjusting something on a carburetor

I think that by the time you got the Schrader valve back in place, you'd have a flat tire again.

I doubt that the tire industry uses these tools, as the Schrader valve isn't part of the tire. The wheel (rim) and car service industries use them, though. I was a service station mechanic for a while. My cars' fuel injection rails also use the same size Schrader valve that the tire stems do, BTW.

I'm with you on that. I have some unusual tools, and would have to get a closer look at the business end of that thing, and know its size to get close to guessing that's what it was. I've never seen a Schrader valve stem tool quite like that one. It looks more like a tool I have that's used to open elevator doors for maintenance, or in my case to get at equipment in elevator shafts.
