How to get Galaxy 8 to show names on text notifications?

I have already done that but only their phone number shows up.

Throwing this idea/comment out there, but if the phone number doesn't exactly match the contact i.e. (area code)-123-4567 vs. (no area code)-123-4567 , it will only show up as a number?

Thanks for your comments. I have now realized that it's not the text itself that doesn't have a name associated with the phone number. It's the notification that comes to my email that shows up only as a phone number. Does anyone know a way to change that?
