Help native browser and import

Hi android forum

What is the native android browser?
How can i import my pc bookmarks html file?
Chrome better?
Will firefox be supported?

Where are manuals (english, i found others) for infinity?

Thank you

I have tried several browsers and think that Dolphin performs best on both the smartphone and tablet although I use Firefox on my PCs.

I also use XMARKS to sync my bookmarks across all my PCs, Smartphone (DROID3) and now the ASUS Tablet. Works like a charm.

But performance changes from release to release, so when newer versions are available in other browsers, I give them a spin. But I keep coming back to Dolphin.

If you have multiple browsers installed and start an action that calls for a browser response, there is a pop up window that asks which one to use and if you want make that the default. Very smart way to handle the issue.

i have used dolphin and i agree. Firefox beta also works but does seem slower vs dolphin.

i am also struggling with all the browsers to get the links to work in one touch.
anyone else?

I cannot get Dolphin to maintain my desktop browser folder hierarchy. It supports folders but they have to be constructed within Dolphin rather than by sync. Unless an update has fixed it in the several months since I've tried.

Bookmark sync was/is the only (and I mean ONLY) thing that has vexed me since I went android 3 years ago.

Firefox sync works well. But it takes 4 screens to get to your desktop bookmark bar menu

I've been using Opera with good results. It's a good browser. Opera sync is easy and reliable (though sometimes I cannot access individual bookmarks I've placed on my Bookmark bar.

There is an important thing with Opera/BM's that is a pain but has a work around: You have to use Opera Mini on your mobile/tablet. Activating Opera Sync on your desktop adds an Opera Mini folder to your bookmarks list. This is the folder that is sync'd. I have all of my bookmarks, including my bookmark bar folders located in this folder. Desktop bookmarks NOT in this folder don't sync. I have gone so far as deleting all folders EXCEPT my Opera Mini folders. I've attached a screen shot to show what my "manage bookmark" window looks like....

With ICS, I just gave Chrome a try. It sync'd OK. But Opera has an excellent Speeddial function, and Chrome's seemed buggy (others made this comment on the download page). For now, Opera remains my choice.

BTW: Google Play will not let me download Firefox to the Infinity. It seems we have to go Beta. Any idea what's different (maybe it'll be one touch access to desktop bookmarks)?

I'm going to give it a look.....
