Native email client question

Hello,
I'm brand new to the Galaxy SIII so pardon my newbie question. I had successfully set up my Gmail accounts into the native email client without problems. Now my Gmail is not picked up by the native program, but only through the Gmail app. I like the native application and cannot figure out why my gmail accounts no longer appear.

I removed the gmail accounts from the gmail app, but it still does not work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

If you mean you're not getting automatic push email notifications, only the Gmail app can do that. All other email clients must poll email, either on a schedule set in the settings or manually.

What you can do if, like me, you want instant push notifications but don't want to use the Gmail app, is setup your Gmail accounts in the mail client you like. Then setup the accounts in the Gmail app as if you would use it, leaving sync and notifications on so you get push notifications. Then use your client of choice to actually deal with mail.
