I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Navigation app that was pre-installed when I got the phone has disappeared. How do I get it back.

Hi
If you are referring to the Google Navigation app (blue arrow icon) it is now part of the google Maps app. Open Maps and press the turn icon at top right of the first screen and it starts the navigation app.
If you mean a different app, perhaps post another question and include a few more details eg which app and whether you did anything such as update your phone OS
