Help Navigation buttons disappearing while in app?

Anyone losing their back/home/window buttons when in an app? I just lost them and had to reboot to bring them back. I had no way to get out of Google Voice and back to the launcher!

Just launched Google Voice and my buttons are at the bottom and the app looks really nice on my Nexus.

Haven't lost the buttons on the bottom yet, BUT they have turned into tiny little dots when using an app that supports it. I just press the button that would correspond to the particular button and it brings them back to me.

They will come back if you press the area where they were. Its a feature. The buttons can also switch between the top and bottom of the phone.

Ok, I figured there was some trick I was missing. It was early morning, so I probably couldn't see the dots or something.

You run into this problem again? My (soft) buttons disappeared, nothing would bring them back. They weren't hidden like normal, they just weren't there. It happened while I was using AirDroid, wonder if that had anything to do with it? Anyway, they returned after a soft reset.
