Hello there. im using samsung galaxy note upgraded to ics.
I have a problem wherin i need to connect two rf antenas which need line of sight.
Problem here is that they are 40km apart.
I thought i will use my phone gps to get the coordinates of the locations an then use compass to align the antenas so that they face each other. i can get the coordinates but with the compass i dont know how to get the directions. i have tried several softwares like compass, cgeo and put the coordinates of the target. but in the compass i dont know how to read the direction. i have taken screen schots but im unable to post here. thanks

Install GPS Status. On antenna A's location start the app and go in Radar Mode an save the location.
On antenna B's location, GPS Status in Radar Mode will show you the direction of antenna A for to align B.

Now you have to save location B, and then to go to A for to align A :)

... or even more simple with my car locator app 'MyCar Locator' which has so a nice direction arrow.
Same procedure as with GPS Status :)

That is a pretty cool way to use a couple of apps built for something else. :)
Did it work? was the information provided by the apps accurate enough?
