i was using google nav for the first time yesterday as i normally use the garmin but thoiught id give it a whirl on a long journey but it was too quiet i had the media volume up to full after pressing up volume then the volume cog tab is there an internal volume for google nav - i couldnt see one, im running official polish jb if that makes a diff?

its apitty because its making me stick to the garmin i wonder if its to do with the speaker more or less aiming for the heater vent altho i think the speaker in call is louder, i dont really want to use the radio as a speaker as i still would have it on obviously pretty low volume but still with the garmin can have both quite loud with no problem

I had a Garminfone before the S3, navigation on that was superior.
I actually keep the garmin in the car for navigation because the S3 couldnt keep up in Seattle/Tacoma when I was up there last week.. Hope someone resurrects that idea again.

You could try a different voice. Some voices are louder than others. I have the same issue with Maps. Although I can hear fine, I want it to be a little louder. I play my music from my phone as well and apparently, the music is just loud compared to the voice in Google Maps.

From your home screen, go into the settings. Then Language and input | Text-to-speech output. Look at your preferred engine. Mine is Google. Then go into those settings and Language. I chose English (United Kingdom). I find that the UK voice is a bit louder than the US voice.
