Hi, so the new gf likes to rapid fire me texts, short oneliners one right after the other. So for each one, I get an alert and its pretty annoying lol. So is there anyway to get ONE alert and ignore the 5 or 10 other texts within a certain time frame?? In other words, when the first text comes, give me an alert then silence for whatever interval I set (20 sec, 1 min, 3 mins, etc).

Welcome to Android Forums. I know of no setting or app that will accomplish what you want. That doesn't suggest that something doesn't exists. I've never needed to handle incoming like you are experiencing so I've never looked for such. Setting a distinct but less irritating notification for your gf's contact might be a work around.
Or just put your foot down and say stop with the rapid fire texts........jk
Yeah I know of nothing like you are asking. Not sure how a developer could make such a specific action within an app like that.
