Root Need a last-ditch way to restore Ally to stock

I restored, apparently, both a bad nandroid AND bad stock recovery. The Ally was stuck in bootloop, so I tried the power on and '5' prep to stop the bootloop in order to run the factory LGNPST or LG Mobile support tool. It would appear that BOTH are no longer supported. My Ally was my intro to rooting and flashing, and was a superb teacher. It can find a new home with a nephew of mine, IF I can get it running again. Could someone point me to where I can get this classic restored?

Have u tried tridents guide? That usualy works at least to get u back up and running. The irc help chat room is ur best bet. Dots is usually around and is always great help

Is ok. I 'dusted off' some of my old Ally files, some snooping, trial-n-error, searching, got it all going now. Looks like my nephew will have a decent starter smartphone now. That wasn't too painful.....NOT! Nuthin' like desparation for inspiration!
