This is clearly off-topic, but I have to ask somewhere. Is there a device available to test wireless carriers' signals in a given location? Before I decide on staying with Verizon or invoking my "no early termination" which VZW has already said they would do, I want to test my home (and surrounding property) to see if TMo, AT&T, or Sprint has the best connection. I don't want to go through the aggravating, time-consuming process of bringing a phone home, then finding out the signals are poor...then having to wait in the store (or on the phone) to do the paperwork to return a phone and void the contract. Is there not a device (even if I have to pay $100 or so, that's fine!) that can tell me which carrier has the best signal?
And please don't link me to sites that show cell tower locations or coverage maps -- been there, done that...and reality never seems to be anything close to what that information shows. I need to physically test the signals first before committing to a carrier or specific device.
Thanks!!
