hi guys,
I have a bit of a dilemma. My kids every weekend go to their gran's house to stay, but they get bored quickly and want some form of entertainment. I'm thinking since there already is a flat screen tv, that I should buy them some sort of a portable media player (Games capability would be an added bonus) that they can connect to the TV, thus allowing them to watch movies etc. I would prefer something that I either already has large storage space or at the very least will allow me to connect larger storage such as a usb hard drive.
So far I have looked at the following items:-
I can't seem to make my mind up as I don't want to spend loads of dosh for something being used one a week. Couple of other things are that I don't want something where i have to spend time converting movie formats just to play them....as long as most common movie formats can be played, then I'd be very happy.
What can you recommend?

- Tablet
- A cheap Android Phone that can play at least 720p (with phone to tv adapter)
- Media player (such as WDTV live)
- Games console (a bit too big)
- Android TV Stick
- Apple TV
- Mini PC (like raspberry or similar)
