Root Need a rom that is good and stable, recommendations?

what is good out there these days? MIUI is my personal fav, but anything else with good battery life (1 day+ is absolutely needed) working 720p video and widescreen camera is also a must. The phone is getting older, but I have heard ICS is coming at least on the rooted scene. Please make a recommendation for me, since I haven't modded or followed the ROMs in over 4 months.

And thank you in advance for those that care to reply.

Too many variables, you need a good battery life, so you're probably going to be stuck with either blur based or something like liberty or apex for that. ICS may or may not be coming soon, from how it looks on the board. I've been running CM7GB for a while, but my battery life kinda sucks, which doesn't bother me much since I can charge any time I need to.

Your best option is CM7GB. It has most of what you're looking for except the battery life. That area is kinda horrible to be honest. Progress on MIUI has come to a screatching halt over devs fighting about it.

DXC has passed the torch to WizardOfOs and he has released his first version of MIUI which you can grab here,

I'm running this one now and So far, knock on wood, it's running pretty stable. And the battery life is pretty good. At this point any 2nd init Rom you choose is kinda a crapshoot. They all have advantages and disadvantages.

Fixed the link. Sorry about that. I keep forgetting to clear the "HTTP" out of the link before pasting the new link in.

Couple too many major bugs as of that release...
--------------------------------------

-------------Bugs------------------
--------------------------------------
* Camera will force close if you switch to the gallery (thumbnail) and back to camera in under 3 seconds. If you spend more than 3 seconds in the gallery, there is no FC.
* Handscent force closes on opening
* 720p play and record do not current work
* Wifi Tethering does not work in Infrastructure mode (it does work in peer to peer)
* Compass is not working properly and will not calibrate to fix it.
--------------------------------------------

I'll look into CM7 or Liberty, but I have used both in the past and found it just too clean/barebones for my usage. I also heard that the dev for CM on the DX is no longer developing, or am I wrong there?

Liberty3v2.0 gets my vote.

I'm liking Liberty 3v2, too. Battery life is on par with stock GB, and maybe better once it settles in. After the 1st day I'm at 44% vs looking for the charger in the same amount of time on CM7. I did have an issue with the market not wanting to sync apps, but a data wipe after loading ROM fixed it.

I had been running CM7 and liked it, but battery life was about 20-30% less than stock.
