Newbie
Hi All, Can anyone point me to an App' that will set different notification sounds (easily) for e-mail, messaging etc, paid for or not. cheers Guys (and Gals) :) Its for my HTC1X.

Thanks for the Quick response, i Will go have a wee look, Not necessarily looking for silly ringtones, just a method of setting them for different app's easily...
Cheers..

You've probably tried this already but:

Settings > Personalize > Sound tab > Notification Sounds

Some apps (for example Hotmail) allow you to set notification sounds under the app settings.

Unfortunately with customization power comes complexity... for many 3rd party apps, there's no centralized way to change notification settings, except in the app itself, aside from the HTC apps (which are centralized in settings>personalization>swipe to sounds tab

I used an application called Pop-up for notifications on my One X. It was a great little application but I got tired of it because it would show the name of the sender but not the content itself. It would be:

Name of the contact, and underneath it "Has sent you a message". I would have liked it to pop-up like on the iPhone, for instance, where you get not only the name of the contact but part of the message he sent underneath it.

If you create a folder on your SD Card and call it Notifications, put the tunes you want to use in there and they will appear in the list of available options when setting tones.

The global tone can be set via Settings -> Sound, but normally within each app (Gmail, Messaging, Email, Talk), there are individual notification options for each app.

Is that what you mean?

Hey cheers, the "create a folder" option looks like the thing i am looking for, going to give this a try!
Thanks...:)
