Apps Need Android Application Coding Help

Hello all,
I have two issues I need help with...first is downloading a file from a web server and the second is while downloading a file in a custom AsyncTask do in Background method the publish progress percentage resets itself in the middle of the download....I wonder if anyone could help me with these two issues?
