Root Need Debranding help! - Urgent!

have you followed the first post in this thread:
http://androidforums.com/x10-all-things-root/233013-step-step-flahing-1-6-2-1-a.html

also if you are rooted, you could use root explorer to edit the branding codes in default.prop to generic ones instead of branded ones.
its been so long since i done that, i have forgotten exactly which files you need to edit. there are 2 iirc but you need to run SEUS to update anyway. if SEUS isnt working for you then the best and only way i can think of is in the link above. its standard issue SE software and not branded.

even though you are debranding by editing the default.prop you will still need to use SEUS to update or the method above.
if you follow the link i posted it will all be done with no hassles.

well you should be on the latest software and debranded as you wanted.
sounds like a success to me.

Yeah, got it debranded, now I cant get root.

Ive tried z4
one click root on pc

I don't particularly want to have to load a pre-rooted rom, as ive already got all of this working.

Is there another method?

Problem solved.

I did a fresh repair of the OS and formatted the USB before retrying boot.

All works fine now.

Exept that it won't detect my wireless modem. Yet it detects other wireless networks in the area.

I suspect its a modem setting though.
