Need help activating my PRO

So I've never actually had to activate my previous phones since I've always purchased at the MetroPCS store and had them activate my phones. This time I ordered the zmax pro and having trouble activating it online. I enter the IMEI and the SIM serial # and select my plan that I've always had ($40). When I get to the review page, I get an error message something along the line "Please change plan/service to enable the Finish button."

Also, do I install my old sim card from my zmax to the new zmax Pro or install the sim card that came with the Pro? Neither of the sim cards seem to fit in the zmax pro sim card tray.

Got the sim card figured out, but still getting the "Please change plan/service to enable the Finish button." error
 
Yes, their VRU is terrible, annoying and long, but once you get through, it's very easy to activate with a rep
 
Yea, but then I won't get a chance to win the $1000 by activating online ;)

Seriously though, I'm just curious why I'm getting this error message. I know I'll end up activating over the phone shortly.
 
Well customer service couldn't explain why I was getting the error so I activated over the phone.

Anyone else receive a text from metro after activating saying something like "Your handset doesn't have proper settings to access internet and send/receive SMS messages. Settings will be sent to this handset if haven't been received already"
 
Just received the same SMS message again. I noticed my download speeds are extremely slow. 100-400kb second.

I think this is something they do on purpose in order to get people to buy more expensive plans. I cannot switch my phone on the website either because they will not let me do it without giving up the $50 promotional unlimited plan I have currently. Call 1 888 8metro8 and they will activate your new phone for free without you having to change your plan.
