Help Need help adding searchable items!

I just upgraded to the Razr Maxx from the origional Droid Incredible and desperately miss being able to search my contacts, texts, emails, and notes all from one search screen. When I go to search/settings/searchable items there is no option for email or SMS. Does anyone know how to add apps to the list of searchable items?

Just get an App called Google Gestures, then you can search anything you need by simply drawing the first letter or two with your finger on the screen and it shows you all the choices, it's like finger painting.

Cool app. But it doesn't search email or text messages. Anybody know how to add email and text messaging to the list of searchable items? I could do it in Gingerbread but I can't seem to do it with ICS.
