Need help choosing a new router!!!

The title says a lot but here is the dilemma. I have AT&T TV and Internet and my bill is getting way too far out of proportion so I am thinking I am going to go to Comcast since I have an offer for 50 bucks for their 30mbps internet and the most basic TV. I will however need a router to be able to connect my toys to the network. I need a good one since I have the following which I like to connect and keep them connected:

1. Xbox (Streaming Hulu, youtube and gaming of course)
2. 3 Computers only 1 of them is on all the time (yes mine)
4. Network Printer (Brother) connected all the time.
3. 2 Tablets (samsung galaxy tab 10.1 and HP touchpad) touchpad is connected all the time.
4. 3 phones (Samsung Galaxy S2 x2 and HTC Evo 4G) the galaxies use the network to boost the signal strength at home.
5. I also have the Sprint Airvana box which is connected sometimes.

Currently the AT&T bulky router is being a pain in the butt with the wireless as it is not diverting bandwith properly. How I know this? When there is no other device on the network except my computer (and I do not torrent stuff only skype is on that can be requiring internet connection) even the non hd movies stop to buffer.

I need something good so I can connect my toys and not worry about it at least until the weekend.

Any advice will be great so thanks in advance

Alex!

I personally have the Linksys E2000 and love it. However, if you are a fan of flashing different firmware and what not - you should go with the Netgear WDNR-3400.

I have the Netgear WNDR-3700 (N700) and have been happy with it. I believe it's been replaced with the WNDR-4500, both are or were on the Maximum PC "Best of the best" list. This is a dual-band unit, which works for me as I have an AppleTV box that uses the 5 Ghz band, so if I'm streaming to that (non-internet streaming) it won't slow down my regular browsing as my wireless laptop only uses the 2.4 Ghz.

FWIW, I have the following connected to my network:
AppleTV
gaming desktop (wired)
HP printer (wired)
personal laptop (wireless)
HTC Thunderbolt
Acer A500
work-provided Windows PC or MBP (one or the other on occasion, MBP also uses the 5 Ghz)

I've had NONE of the dropouts I had with either of my Linksys routers (one had DD-WRT on it), it's been flawless since I installed it.

Thank you very much for the advice I have looked into the two recommendations and I have to say I like the Linksys a bit better. I am going to go and loot at the netgear a little more and see what I am going to do.

The Netgear one has better specs, but if you want simple usage - the Linksys is probably the way to go.
