Need help: Droid / Outlook problem

For a couple of years I had a Blackberry. When someone sent me an email, it showed up on both my desktop (Outlook -- NOT Outlook Express) and Blackberry and I was able to send and receive from both. A couple of weeks ago I bought a Droid. I cannot get the settings right. I would like to be able to send and receive on both the Droid and my desktop. Currently, I can either receive the emails on my desktop or Droid, but not both. If I turn on the Droid, the emails come to it and not to the desktop and vice versa.

I tried to set the "allow messages to stay on server," but under "tools -> options" there is no such setting. Can someone help?

When you set up your email account on the Droid what account type did you specify? On my Droid X "allow messages to stay on server" seems to be the default for SMTP email access.
