Help Need help fixing my SGH-I747

I currently am working on my old phone which is a Samsung Galaxy S3 Sgh-I747, but whenever I attempt to flash it with Odin or Heimdall but it cannot connect to the device but it reads it is there. I have also tried to reset it to Stock firmware with Kies but the same happens it cannot connect but tells me it is trying to.

Ok, i'm not sure i understand fully... In Odin and with the device in download mode is there a yellow or blue number where it says id com? What version of Odin are you using. Are you sure you have the usb drivers installed?

Are you using a 2.0 usb port. Have you tried a different usb cable? I have never used Kies software repair tool so i'm no help there.
