Need Help: How to get new T-mobile sim activated for Web2go on a Nexus 1

Lurker
So Im about to switch from verizon to tmobile. Going to use a family plan with 3 nexus 1s, and wanted to use the $10 web2go data. I want to know if i buy the sim online along with the $10 data, how do i activate it? Do I need to have a dumbphone first, or is there a way around that? I dont have 3 dumbphones laying around, so thats the main reason I want to know this. Could I simply go into the account settings in the tmobile page and make up a phone I have while in reality using the N1?

Any help would be much appreciated.

I don't think that dog will hunt...given that the N1 is basically a "T-Mobile" phone. Works with unlocked/non-carrier-branded phones however (e.g. Nokia N900). However your process is the default method of getting on the $10 plan.

The Nexus One is not an "Official" T-Mobile phone. You can use Web2Go on it, but you will get a baseline experience. You will not get the "nice" look with the N1.

I activated my Nexus One on T-Mobiles prepaid service and the customer service agent had no problem activating the account when I told her which phone I had. The agent even complimented me on my choice in phones.
