Help Need help locating downloaded files

Ok so here's the problem. My buddy just bought a new Motorola phone (atrix 2 or bionic, not sure). I sent him a link to downloaded a music file and it worked. The problem is we can't find the file on his phone. I asked him to look under his file manager app(he downloaded through the market) and look for a folder called downloads. It wasnt there or the option to look at his external sd card. So my question is, does motorola not give it's users to look under both internal and external memory on the phone? If so where can he find the files that he download. Thanks!!!

Tell him to look on the internal card.

If the file manager is using absolute paths, then if he looked in /SDCard/ tell him to look in /SDCard-ext/ instead. Or, vice versa.

If it's a Bionic, just have him go to his Apps and click green Downloads icon, I believe it will show up there.

if he has the bionic, when you open the file explorer, the sd card is the internal memory, sd-ext is the removable card. i have not downloaded any music files but i have downloaded photos. all are stored in sd card (internal). some of them saved to the download file, but some of them are stored in a file named messaging. check there.

Everything I download on my Bionic (using the Browser) goes to /sdcard/downloads. That's the internal storage
