I've had my Samsung Galaxy s2 for a little over a month and there is currently no notification sound when I get texts or emails. The sound is on, I have checked menu>settings>sound>volume to check it there but still nothing. It was working before but I think it stopped about a week ago. All the other sounds still work, it's just the notifications that aren't working. How do I fix this?

In your main settings under the "sound" settings, open up "volume", and make sure that your notification volume is on the loudest setting.
Then I would go into your "notification ringtone" and choose one that is a bit on the louder side. If that doesn't work, I would call your service provider and ask to speak to a technician, and see if they have any suggestions as to how to correct the problem.
