Help Need help . Please :S

Well Today I updated my galaxy s gt19000 to 2.3 gingerbread . And im assuming it was the wrong firmware because now im getting a black screen , also I am unable to acess the recovery mode . Any help? how do I acess download mode?
I live in UAE and use etisalat service , ANY help is appreciated

How did you update your phone to Gingerbread if you live in UAE? It's not out there yet.

well I got the update file from the internet and updated it with it :S

Is your phone unlocked one?
Can you get to download mode? Turn phone off, hold Volume Down + home Key + Power.

If you can get to download mode and you have unbranded unlocked i9000 go to Login - www.SamFirmware.com and download the I9000JPJPM arabic rom and flash it with ODIN.

Wait, you tried to update to Gingerbread through CWM/Recovery? I see what the problem is now. Samsung's Gingerbread firmware requires a new bootloader, which has to be installed either through Kies or Odin. Since you are flashing a non-standard firmware for your region, you might as well take a step further and flash a modified stock firmware.

[ODIN][CWM][Base] Ficeto's JVH Base roms for ODIN and CWM | Darky's ROM

Get the Odin version and not the CWM version.
