Root need help, please

Hi all, i'm not new to rooting , flashing roms, etc but am new to this phone. I have got it rooted with z4root and i installed rom manager so i could install clockwork recovery. It said it installed recovery but will not boot into recovery from rom manager or from boot. I've been looking through the Ally forums but haven't really gotten anywhere. The End, Send, Menu button combo from boot doesn't do anything so i'm kinda stuck. I want to do a nandroid backup for starters but stuck at not being able to boot into recovery. Any help is appreciated.
Also curious if after i get into recovery, if i can use the Ally roms for the Apex since they are basically the same thing. Thanks

I am also having the same problem. I have tried all that I can think of and have searched the internet trying to find a solution. I am also wondering about the Ally Roms and if they work for the Apex. Someone please help!!

In order to access the recovery mode we need a recovery image for the Apex. As far as I know, there is not one out there. If someone wants to port the clockwork recovery image to the Apex, there is a guide here:
