Please accept my apology if I am going about this the wrong way, I'm not really sure of proper form here.

I'm writing after weeks of frustration, 2 factory re-installs, and lots of my own deducing, but still my rooted (and/or un-rooted) Alcatel One Touch Fierce, L2RUMRo, is having the same issues. You should know that this is, and has been for a long time, strictly a WI-FI phone. It hasn't had a SIM card in it since 4G service was discontinued but worked fine for some time. For the last several weeks Google Voice and Contacts force close immediately upon open, phone start, or any other random time. I recently noticed that one of my meditation apps was doing the same thing and I un-installed it. My husband has the exact same phone, also run on WI-FI and hasn't had any issues, the only difference between them is his has never been rooted. The phone is running Android 4.2.2 and has been rooted and then un-rooted a total of 3x via the Framaroot app. When rooted I never flashed a ROM or changed a kernel, but did have and used Lucky Patcher and various APK's.

I think that's everything, PLEASE help if you can. Thank you so much...Mystic

I don't know much about your issue because all I can get my head around is that you need help with force closing apps? Well you can always try re-inatalling the apps from a back up. If you don't have a back up I can send you a link of system back up files from another thread.

There are different ways to install apps on this device I know of(system apps, and or pre-installed apps), that don't require flashing. One method is draging a compatible apk into the system/apps folder using root explore, or root browser to change permissions of the apk to "644" OK this sounds complicated but you'll understanding If you use root browser

The other method I know about is using a rooted app called "root uninstaller pro". The normal version(unpaid) won't work because the feature you need to install backup apps requires "pro". You can pay the money or just get it any other way(wink).

I fixed it the only way I know how, after endless hours of trying everything else, I bought a new phone. I'm certainly not a "know-it-all", but anything tech is my passion and it's also what I went to school for. That is why the stubbornness to try EVERYTHING I could of, but I think something on the inside of it is fried beyond fix. I researched, tinkered, factory and hard reset, but nothing ever made one bit of a dent in the issue so I had to turn the learning experience into surrender lol. Anyway, I thank you so much for taking the time to offer your help, and hopefully no one else suffers from either this problem, or my type of terminal hard head ;)

With gratitude and respect, 3rdeyeblue
