Help need help removing sd card tray

I just got the ZTE Warp Elite and i'm trying to use the tool to remove the sd card tray but it's not popping out at all. I push the tool in and it doesnt go in all the way and it feels like something is blocking it. It goes in at different angles but it still doesn't come out. Anyone know how to do this kinda stuff?

Edit: I know this isn't your device,But sd card tray removes the same way.

Tried the same way he did. I must be doing something wrong, it seems too easy, maybe I'll get it open eventually.
