Hi Guys,
really need some help, but dont have a lot of info for you.
I recently sold my Desire on Ebay.
Before I shipped it I did a factory reset to wipe my data.
I then downloaded the latest firmware from /settings/about phone
as I didnt have room to do this previously.
Originally my phone was O2 branded, Over a year ago I used an RUU file posted on here to unlock and debrand it using a gold card. (I cant find the thread now)
The gold card sd later became corrupt and I replaced it.
The buyer said he was getting a wifi error flag in notifications and has tried flashing a new radio and several roms, but I haven't got the exact info from him yet. (It was working fine for me before I reset it.)
Is there a way to get a completely fresh rom and matching radio on it from this point?
whats the easiest way to get a fully working Desire again?
rooted or not, doesn't matter.
cheers.

UPDATE:
My buyer has replied with a breakdown of what he has tried.
"Have not made a 'Gold Card' as didn't want to fire up windows. ( been running linux last 20 years.. )
Used
http://revolutionary.io/ linux binary to switch s-off and install clockworkmod recovery
then installed
bravo_alphaspl-cm7r2.img via fastboot ( from http://alpharev.nl/ )
radio 5.17.05.23 via fastboot ( zip extracted as clockwork cant install as provided on http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/HTC_Desire_(GSM):_Support_Downloads )
Then booted into clockwork recovery to install update-cm-7.1.0-RC1-Desire-signed.zip
This provided a 'working' Cyanogen Gingerbread system all save the front speaker as I was to find a on the first incoming call on Tuesday.
The above is the current state of the phone have tried several other configurations in the interim.
miui-desire-0.12.31-deodexed_miui-dev.com.zip , update-cm-7.0.3-Desire-signed.zip
and the dos install based 'Official' roms
RUU_Bravo_Froy
2_UK_2.14.207.1_Radio_32.44.00.32U_5.09.05.30_2_release_144166_signed.exe
RUU_HTC Desire Android 2.3 Upgrade (Gingerbread).exe
all boot and run but sound problem persists, calls may be made using speaker phone, headphones, bluetooth
have tried various apps such as volume+ , AVC with all roms, have tried putting back s-on, removing clockwork.
Hence I feel that this may be a hardware problem. Be glad to be proved wrong with some simple fix."
